US highways are usually way more interesting. Interstates tend to bypass the culture of the area and often the natural scenery. For instance, East Tennessee, my original home, is very beautiful, but interstate 81 cuts thru it, bypassing most of it, as well as anything of cultural significance.

I usually do the driving, so it doesn't leave me any time to enjoy the sights. So I rather just take the highways so long as they are a fast route.

I think people need to enjoy life more. I definitely want to get my license back so I can drive on roads I want to drive, not what the rideshare or bus drivers want.

Some places you can't stop, so you just have to keep going and try and check out what you can along the way.

I want to enjoy stuff, but I don't have to stop for extended periods
