My take on the classic story is that Satan foresaw AI and nuclear weapons. In that case, why wouldn't he be cynical about humans and why would he want to bow down to them? Anyway, such a powerful argument would explain why a large number of angels joined Satan. That's something that's not well conveyed in the Bible.
