I don't think we are, but let's entertain the notion. Well, for instance, he criticized nations in the third world is "crap countries" (He used another word.), but it is true those nations are full of corruption, violence and many other negative things liberals (or others) aren't willing to say out loud. But that's a generalization and certainly it's not nice or diplomatic to say.

Do you have something against Trump? The third world countries are a lot of them corrupt and it is part of why they aren't improving. Should Trump have used more tactful language? Sure. But you would also have to hold other Presidents throughout the world accountable as well.

Sometimes you have to be willing to say the truth, regardless of whether the person wants to hear it or not, so they can acknowledge it and work to improve.

Trump wasn't the best choice for the Republican candidate because he's childish.

And there are other ways of being direct in communication, without being soft.
