  1. Do you have any favorite comic books? If so, which ones?
  2. I normally use my tablet. It takes up a lot less room in my carry on bag because it’s just a tablet and the charging cord. It allows me to take a whole hoard of books with me and not take up much room.
  3. Favorite authors: From the horror genre, I like Joe Hill and Darcy Coates. I’m starting to get into Amy Cross. From the historical fiction genre, I like Madeline Martin. From the mystery genre, I like Francis Duncan and Agatha Christie. From the thriller/suspense genre, Lucy Foley and Shari Lapena.
  4. Goal: Read more than I did last year. Currently Reading: Daisy Darker by Alice Feeney Finished Reading: A Small Hand by Susan Hill The House That Horror Built by Christina Henry The Party by Natasha Preston What you are looking for is in the library by Michiko Aoyama William by Mason Coile
  5. I’m currently reading….. Synopsis: After years of avoiding each other, Daisy Darker’s entire family is assembling for Nana’s 80th birthday party in Nana’s crumbling gothic house on a tiny tidal island. Finally back together one last time, when the tide comes in, they will be cut off from the rest of the world for eight hours. The family arrives, each of them harboring secrets. Then at the stroke of midnight, as a storm rages, Nana is found dead. And an hour later, the next family member follows… Trapped on an island where someone is killing them one by one, the Darkers must reckon with their present mystery as well as their past secrets, before the tide comes in and all is revealed. With a wicked wink to Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None, Daisy Darker’s unforgettable twists will leave readers reeling.
  6. I’m in the process of reading this series. I’ve read the first book but I haven’t completed the rest of it so far.
  7. Well, she has the signet of lightening but her second one is unknown at the moment.
  8. I would recommend…… “The Last Bookshop in London” by Madeline Martin (if you like historical fiction from WWII era) “Stoneheart”, “Ironhand” & “Silvertongue” by Charlies Fletcher (if you liked fantasy; especially if you’re a fan of Harry Potter) “Shiver”, “Linger”, & “Forever” by Maggie Stiefvater (if you like romance; especially if you’re a fan of Twilight) The Mordicai Tremaine series by Francis Duncan (if you are an Agatha Christie fan)
  9. I’m normally strictly inside. Where I live it’s either freezing cold or hotter than a furnace outside. If it would be nice weather outside, I might sit out on my porch once in a while ‘cause I have a swing on my porch.
  10. I have a Kindle Fire but I bought it a couple of years ago. I normally use it when I’m traveling to save room in my carry on bag. That was the whole point of having it……to take a bunch of books with my when I travel without it taking up much room.
  11. If you like Stephen King, you might try some things by author Joe Hill. This is actually Stephen King’s son…..he just started using a pen name because he didn’t want people to go in with the expectations of being the son of an already famous author. Joe Hill has produced some good stuff. His “Heart-Shaped Box” novel is pretty good, I enjoyed that one. Also, his novel “NOS4A2” has a tv show based on it. There’s a comic book mini series that goes along with that novel. It’s called “Wraith: Welcome to Christmasland”. It doesn’t really add anything to the story that goes on in “NOS4A2” in the comic……it just a back story on how the villain came to be. If you like comic books, you could try the “Locke & Key” series by Joe Hill. It’s actually the first thing I read by Joe Hill.
  12. Well, do you have a particular genre that you prefer? Do you have any particular author’s that you like? Your answer to these questions can help narrow down what I can suggest……
  13. I’m kind of one the fence about this one. She’ll do one or the other. She’ll either try to fix it so that Xaden isn’t one or she’ll end up where she’ll be one the same as Xaden. Plus, Violet hasn’t discovered her second signet yet or it hasn’t been mentioned yet. I hope we get to see what that second signet is at some point in this next book.
  14. I’m trying to figure out if Violet will become Venin like Xaden or if she’ll figure out a way to fix it so Xaden is no longer Venin. I was kind of expecting to see one or the other in the next book but we’ll have to wait and see……

I’ve been having learning as I go. Luckily, each section is labeled well so I know where to go when I want to post something or participate in discussions that are already there.
  16. I have not. I prefer the physical copies as opposed to e-books or digital copies. The only reason why I have a Kindle Fire with some e-books on it is for traveling purposes. When I travel, it’s easier to stick my Kindle Fire in my carry on bag, along with the charging cable. It doesn’t take up very much room in my carry on yet I can still take a bunch of books with me when I travel. It gives me the ability to still read in the event there is some down time on vacations and stuff.

Thank you! No issues at the moment. I am enjoying myself so far.
  18. Well, that’ll be something I hope we’ll find out when Onyx Storm is released here in a couple of weeks.
  19. I’m one who always finds myself at the local book store….I could practically live there. Doesn’t matter if I have $5 in my pocket or $100. I’ve come to find that reading books and buying books from my local book store are two different hobbies I have.

Thank you for the welcome, Cedric. I’m happy to be here.
  21. I’ve read Fourth Wing and Iron Flame. I just ordered my copy of Onyx Storm yesterday, as a matter of fact. That won’t be coming out till the 21st of this month so I have to wait a couple of weeks to get my copy.
  22. Getting to stay home and read. I have a TBR pile that is endless so I have plenty to keep my busy and wouldn’t get bored.
  23. While I do have a tablet and it does have some e-books on it, I prefer the hard copies. I’ve always loved the smell of the book as I’m reading it. The e-books do have a benefit though and I will read them in a pinch if I have to.

Hello everyone! How are you? A little bit about me…….I enjoy reading (a lot), spending time with my cat, watching movies, playing video games, and spending time on the internet. If you want to know more about me, just ask. Otherwise, I’ll see you around.
